About UsThe Landscape Network.ca is a Canadian network of resources for all aspects of landscaping and outdoor contracting. It was created when the owner Googled "Landscaper in Vancouver" and it turned up an array of different results, none of which he was looking for. He then had an idea. What if you could go to a website, search a credible outdoor contractor in your area, who speaks your language and offers a rating system? 6 months later, The Landscape Network was published online. This Canadian online portal delivers many features covering Canadian content with the simple philosophy, shop local and everyone wins!
Our team at The Landscape Network.ca has worked incredibly hard in researching what the Canadian consumers want and we are always looking for feedback! Enjoy our website and feel free to leave us comments and questions on our CONTACT US or FAQ pages. ***The Landscape Network is a proud and active participant in the British Columbia Institute of Technology Professional Sales Practicum Program.*** Remember to add and follow "TheLandscapeNet" on Twitter, add our Company Page and Group to your Facebook profile, and add Landscape Landscaperson as your friend on Facebook! Meet The Landscape Network Team!Al Schultz - CEO Al is the mastermind behind the curtain. Brenda Schultz - CFO
Originally, Brenda grew up in Alberta where her parents had a huge garden that sustained them through the long winter. Moving to BC and the city where they only had a small backyard that backed onto a ravine, she missed the fresh vegetables, which certainly are not the same as store bought vegetables. Her staple plant year round are herbs and she enjoys growing new ones in her herb garden to see what comes back each year. (Yes I do cook with them, look for my recipes in the forum under "off topic". *B). This year, her and her husband hope to experiment with some raised beds and hope to incorporate some tires with potatoes in them, which unfortunately can only be located on the north side of their house. In March they started a worm compost in a large Rubbermaid tub. Will let you know how that works, in the forum. Summer Stewart - National Sales and Marketing Manager Summer is the National Sales and Marketing Manager for The Landscape Network since March of 2008. She is the one most of you speak to and writes the blogs in the Off Topic section of the Forum. Summer graduated from BCIT in the Marketing Management program, Professional Sales option and also owns her own business consulting organization. Business is her passion and her plants will be the first ones to tell you. She has a fig tree named "Newt"-who needs watering- and 2 huge hanging ferns named Roxie and Jo. In April she plants veggies in her cold frame in the back yard, which unfortunately gets a maximum of 4 hours sun per spot. Every year is a challenge. Look for updates on this in the forum, under softscapes. Feel free to email her your comments on the website as she would be overjoyed to hear from you. Donovin Schultz - Executive Assistant Donovin is the gentleman you get to speak to when you call The Landscape Network. His first passion is hockey and his next first passion is his beautiful expecting wife. Congratulations Donovin! Sylvia St.James - Landscape Advisor Author Sylvia is as passionate about gardening as she is about writing!! Over the last 30 years she traveled to different parts of the world touring and learning landscaping from the far East (Japan) to the deep South (Louisiana) of the United States and many places in between. The last few years she has been working with a landscaping company in British Columbia. With her Outdoor Staging (landscaping properties) experience, homeowners have been very successful and pleased with the quick sale of their homes. There is nothing like being the sharpest looking property on the block! In the last 9 years she has been experimenting with creating styles and themes with container gardening for small areas and balconies. With her experience, she brings to us all some new knowledge, inspiration and of course, alot of fun with plants and landscaping through thelandscapenetwork.ca newsletter. If you have an article suggestion, please email sylvias@landscapenetwork.ca and be sure to check out the Forum to ask Sylvia a question as well as to see her landscape and gardening posts during the month. |
